Following the 1st Workshop on Human Biomonitoring in Portugal organized by the Portuguese National Hub for Human Biomonitoring (HBM NH-PT), set for the HBM4EU project, we are happy to announce the 2nd edition of the Workshop, which will take place on October 25th, 2019 at the Auditorium of the Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente.

The 2nd Workshop on Human Biomonitoring in Portugal (2nd HBM-PT) is devoted to the subject HBM: assessing exposure for a healthier future in Portugal and aims at:

​

  • providing a forum for knowledge exchange on Human Biomonitoring (HBM),

  • bringing together stakeholders, researchers and regulators to discuss the contributions of HBM to health and environmental policies and human health risk assessment, and

  • informing experts and stakeholders on the activities and advances on the HBM4EU project.

​

The Scientific and Organizing Committees are pleased to invite to this Workshop everyone interested in:

​

  • Exposure to chemicals and associated health impacts;

  • HBM and changes in the environments;

  • Integration of HBM and environmental monitoring;

  • HBM in support of human health and environment regulatory actions;

  • Role of HBM in risk assessment.

​

Join us at the 2nd HBM-PT and do not miss the opportunity to share your work with your colleagues. The submission of original contributions for poster and oral communications is welcome. Please refer to the important deadlines and the Call for abstracts for detailed information.

(FCT), Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge, I.P. (INSA), Direção-Geral da Saúde (DGS) and Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente, I.P. (APA), Faculdade de Medicina da  Universidade de Lisboa (FMUL) and Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde Lisboa (ESTeSL) do Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa.
